I agree with the premise of this essay to a point. But readers should realize both Con Men and Con Women do exist. Therefore, there most likely are both gold digger Men and Women. Many of us want to believe we will never be targets of these types and that our ethics and, perhaps our non-transaction take on human relations, will provide protection. Maybe. But then again 40% of the country believes that Mr. Trump and Ms Huckabee Sanders are trustworthy. BTW, these “supporters,” or should we call them “marks,” believe they hold mighty moral and ethical standards. Readers might want to consider the mechanics of successful cons, “confidence” ploys. Reading the classic The Big Con is an education in itself, and can be a thought provoking exercise in self-reflection.
